Happy Birthday!

Well today is one year since I published my first blog post on Stamp Me Some Love. I am not new to blogging or website design, but it the 1st time that I have had follow through with content creation.

You see, I have been dabbling with website design for almost 20+ years. I started learning html way back in the 90's when website were first starting to make their way to the public's consciousness. You can read a blog post I wrote a while back on this 20 year journey.

History of Wanting in the Game

And after may attempts of getting a sustained presence online, I always seemed to flounder. My biggest fear was that I would not have any to say that anyone would be interested in. And creating written content has always been a weakness for me. Or at least what I thought the type of written content I would need to provide.

I mean I have always been good at writing letters to friends and family… sometimes writing and re-writing letters to get just the right message across. I sometime will even keep my drafts of letters and look back at them from time to time. I know crazy huh?…

Making a Committment

When I started Stamp Me Some Love last year I made a commitment to myself to see this one through. I decided I needed to get serious about developing my content creation skills. And this included writing more.

I took a email master course a few months back. The main purpose of the course was how to build my email list, but what I didn't expect was a lightbulb moment. When I figured out that I should write blog posts as if I am writing to my friends… suddenly I felt like I had something to say.
