Excited to meet you!

Hi! I'm Brandi Mahon, Creative Owner of Stamp Me Some Love and the host of the Card Maker Success Summit.

I'm super excited to be one of the speakers for the Creative Spark Summit.  Today we are going to make 2 beautiful professional handcrafted cards.

Below you will find the written step by step instructions and the supply list of the exact supplies I used in the video.  You can always substitute with other supplies, but I would encourage you to recreate the same design with the same supplies so that you can practice the techniques first.  This will give you the confidence boost in designing your own cards!

This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience (which means if you make a purchase after clicking a link I will earn a small commission but it won't cost you a penny more)! I only recommend products I truly love. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Step by Step Instructions

Card #1

  1. Cut card front panel down to 5.5x4.25.  I used Neenah Solar White, but I would recommend using Distressed Heavyweight Cardstock.  I have put both in the supply list.
  2. Cut the Masking Magic to the same size as your card front panel.
  3. Die cut the heart shape on the card front.
  4. Adhere the masking paper to the card front panel.
  5. Drop a few drops of your distress ink onto the craft glass mat.
  6. Use a watercolor paint brush to paint into the exposed area of the masking tape.
  7. Set to dry
  8. Once dry, remove the masking tape and reveal the painted shape.
  9. You can leave the image alone or your can stamp an image inside the painted image.

  11. Die cut a rectangle around the edge.
  12. Embellish with rhinestones

My magnetic glass craft mat! It's a must have!

The glass mat I used in the video is from Glassboard Studio and I absolutely love it.  It allows me do my messy crafts and the clean up is easy!  It is also magnetic so I can use my magnets to hold down my paper while I work on the project.

And guess what!

If you use the promocode BRANDI20 you will get 20% off your entire purchase!  Here is the link to the exact model I use, but they have tons to choose from!
